Catherine might live in a time where woman have no say in anything,
but she hungers for the future and a time when women can vote and
choose their own husbands. When she is faced with marrying a man she
is convinced is evil, Catherine flees through a magic mirror hoping
she'll end up in a better place than where she came from.
This is a great idea and I'd love to see it expanded, but there were
many parts of the story that felt rushed. I'd love to have seen more
sparks between some of the characters. I've enjoyed other works by
Emy Naso, so I will look forward to another book.
