Over-qualified, independent and man-seeking females vies for standoffish Brent Davison after he lands a job at Holliday's International Travel Online. Another employee there, Jodi Baker cringes when the bored, over-qualified women starts an office bet titling it, "Who will seduce the Martian Contest, Brent being the Martian. The women are supposedly from Venus. Jodi Baker seems much more sensible than the other office "inmates," and does not act desperate and pursue Bret. At first, she could not care less about him. But wouldn't you know it, she of all the women employees attracts him?
Brent Davison does not know what to think about the other women who
are hell bent on seducing him; they make fools of themselves. After having sex on the first date, the story question becomes, 'will they make a sound, stable commitment?' Will they be able to work out their relationship's rough
spots?
This office romance focused on relationships and at times kept me in stitches and at times brought a tear. I felt as though I knew the women; the online company seemed to be a fun, modern workplace. The women's personalities and problems were engaging. Overall, I recommend
Cynthianna Appel's Seven Ways to Seduce a Martian and recommend it especially to women who like to read Chick Lit
