Eva is recovering from an operation to remove a tumour from one of her ovaries. Still a virgin, she doesn't know if she'll ever be able to find a man who can measure up to her dream man, whom she only knows as ET. He's been with her since her periods started, and her only sexual reality has been in her fantasies. Determined to find herself a real man, she tells ET she has to let him go.
A few months later, she's become a shadow of herself, mourning the loss of ET. But then she meets her dream man in the flesh, and a long history of truth is revealed in a night of passion.
I loved the concept behind this story, but for me the writing didn't go far enough. The concept of past lives and loves is fascinating and can make for a great romance; I just wish Ms McNight had made this a longer story so I could get to know the characters more.
