When Amber buys some new bed-sheets of Egyptian cotton, she wishes she had a sexy man who wouldn't mind rumpling her new purchase. She falls asleep and wakes to find herself handcuffed to a bed in an Egyptian palace, and her keeper is a gorgeous prince named Seth, who seems just as taken by Amber as she is with him.
But Seth has an ulterior motive for bringing her back through time – he must acquire a bride by nightfall, or he will lose the chance to be the ruler of his people forever. His enemy Arcaum won't give up his leadership willingly… and there's something else he's neglected to tell Amber – he's half-lion!
Ann Cory always writes a great tale, and this had me hooked from the first page. A novel look at Egyptian gods, an interracial romance, a lot of excellent sex scenes – all served with a large helping of tongue-in-cheek humour. Amber is smart and sassy, a woman that readers can relate to, and her dialogue with Seth was both pithy and sexy. Don't miss this story – it'll have you wanting to hunt down Egyptian cotton bed-sheets, too, just in case!
