Years before Julia and Gray had been lovers. When he disappeared
without a word, Julia forced herself to push aside the memories and
move on with her life. Gray could never quite forget the fiery red
head who captured his heart. Even after their paths cross once more
he can't quite accept that she's with someone else. Then his past
catches up to him forcing Julia to trust Gray as they run from
vengeful lycans wanting to kill Gray and quite possibly her as well.
Now she must learn if she can forgive Gray for the past and find a
future in the arms of the man she never truly stopped loving.
A solid sequel to Fortress, furthering the story of star crossed
lovers living in prophetic times. The tension between Julia and Gray
was expertly written, escalating into steamy sex scenes that aren't
for the faint of heart. Despite the tension and hot sex, I had a
hard time accepting Julia's easy forgiveness of Gray. Seduction
rather than explanation made their reconnecting hard for me to
swallow. The fast pace and plot twists kept me reading until the
final page.
