Connor is a doctor at a clinic in the wilds of Alaska. His lover, Greg, is also his boss – and he's as selfish in life as he is in bed. When Connor goes out on a call, he falls from his vehicle and into the clutches of a pack of wolves. Their alpha, a werewolf named Adam, recognises Connor as his promised mate. He has waited a century to find Connor, and does not intend to let him go. But Greg wants Connor back, and goes into the wilderness to rescue him. Can Connor reconcile his twin natures, human and wolf, and accept his skinwalker lover forever?
Full of rich, evocative detail, fascinating characters, and hot sex, this was a real pleasure to read. The writing is exquisite, packed with emotion. You'll fall in love with Adam and Connor, and root for them to stay together. Ms Baumbach has created a wonderful world in the wastes of Alaska with the beauty of Native American spirituality forming its core. This one's a keeper.
