Boring accountant Mollie Mason is about to be married. Right now, though, she is hiding in a cake about to jump out and yell “Surprise” to her fiancée at his bachelor party. That is, until she hears him badmouthing her to all his friends, and enumerating the reasons he is marrying her. None of which are flattering.
Cade Gallager had always been the town bad boy. He left ten years ago, is back for a visit. He never expected to see his high school crush jump out of a cake, call her fiancé a pig, and then storm off. Stung at her fiancés comments, Mollie asks Cade to help her find her wild side. She knows it is there, it is just buried. Cade jumps at the chance he has hoped for since he was a teenager. But can he convince her that he is the man for her for ever, not just for two weeks?
I want Cade. This man is perfect. Funny, supporting, encouraging, and sexy as all hell. Mollie was a strong heroine and grew more confident as the story went on. I found their interactions enjoyable and often amusing, and the sex steamy. I can see myself rereading this story anytime I need a little pick me up. This was wonderful, especially for a first novel, and I will be putting any of Ms. Davies’ books on my “to be bought” list in the future.
