On a stormy night the power fails and the bridge washes out,
trapping Ivona and the rest of the customers in the tavern. When a
contest is issued, Ivona is selected as the first to go. She is to
tell a story, the prize - a sandwich and bag of chips. The man who's
caught her attention has a connection with her that neither knows
until she tells her tale.
Ms. Leigh's tale is dark, suspenseful, and delightful. I'm not sure
if this is a series or not, but I was so captivated by the story
that I want to read more.
