Laura Flannery is in need of a vacation, and the postcard for the new bed and breakfast, Greenwood Manor came at just the right time. She never expected it to be haunted by ghosts that had died over 100 years ago. She also never expected to be told that she was the reincarnation of the long dead lady of the house, and it was up to her to save the soul of her equally long dead husband.
I was intrigued by the story, and it kept me reading to find out exactly what the “catch” was, since Barnabas insisted he wasn’t dead, exactly. Laura seemed to accept the fact she was in a house full of ghosts a bit too easily, and I wasn’t crazy about the ending, as I felt it left too many threads hanging unanswered. It is a cute, light read for when you have some spare time.
