Adrian is at a party at his friend Stefan's house when he's propositioned by Sherry, the best friend of Skyler, who's Stefan's sister. They go into the woods for sex, and then he picks up the scent of his true mate. Adrian is astonished to discover that it's Skyler, and so he puts in a claim for her immediately.
Seven months later, Skyler is still hurt and furious at the way she's being treated. Shifter laws mean that Adrian's claim on her must be upheld – but she still can't get over the scene in the woods. Adrian attempts to win her trust, but then the Shifters clan must face a deadly threat when both Skyler and Adrian are captured…
This is the steamiest of the Shifters series yet, with half of the book taken up with sex scenes between Skyler and Adrian. If you're after good characterisation, dialogue, and description then this isn't for you; but if you just want hot sex, then give this a look.
