Argent, a vampire, is searching for his brother's killer. He also intends on killing Ruby, a gypsy psychic who knows where the murderer is – and thanks to her gift, she also knows that Argent will end her life. And he does – but Argent miscalculates, and Ruby becomes a vampire.
Jack is on the trail of vampire Lars, who loved him and left him after one night of passion. Ruby told him to go to Paris, and it's there that the two men are reunited. They have known each other before in a previous life, when Jack was a young woman loved by Lars. Separated by her parents and then by Lars' transformation, both have waited a long time for this moment. But things are not as simple as they seem, and the two couples are drawn together to resolve events put into motion two hundred years ago…
Leigh Ellwood always delivers high-quality work. This is a great short read with some truly incredible sex scenes – the one that plays a part in Ruby's transformation is, quite literally, electric. There's also a lovely m/m love scene that I really enjoyed – the relationship of Lars and Jack is the driving force in this story, and very romantic. A recommended read.
