Gwyn is on her way to work after her weekly visit to her grandmother when a huge storm comes her way. Swerving to avoid a deer on the wet road, she drives into a ditch and is saved by gorgeous policeman Aiden. There's a mutual attraction between them, made stronger by the fact that they have Irish ancestry in common. Aiden takes Gwyn to dry off, and again, sparks fly between them – quite literally.
Aiden remembers an old family legend that told the men of Lugh that they would know their true love by a shower of sparks – and Gwyn's family has an ancient curse on it that its womenfolk will never be happy until a Murphy marries a Lugh. Can Gwyn and Aiden come together to fulfil one prophecy and undo another?
An enjoyable short read filled with two strong, passionate characters and great sex, I recommend this story for a perfect lunchtime fix of romance and hot action!
