Sophia Caliano just wants to teach. She has been burned badly by her
ex boyfriend, and made a pact swearing off men. Vinnie McAndrews
can't believe the nerve of the new English teacher. Who did she
think she was trying to make some of the football team stay after
school for extra lessons? He planned to show her a thing or two, and
when Sophia refuses to back down it becomes an all out betting war.
This was a sweet story. I enjoyed the way Sophia couldn't let a
challenge go and how she held her own with the big strong macho
football coach, Vinnie. Near the end Vinnie disappointed me, and I
felt as if the book dragged on. The story could have easily ended
before the ridiulous incident with Vinnie, which made me very
disgusted with him. Kudos to the author for drawing me in enough to
make me have such a strong reaction to her characters. If you love
sweet romances, an attraction between two unlikely people, and a
happy ending, you'll like this!
