For a contemporary romance, I doubt you could do much better than
Raine Weaver's novel, Let's Pretend. My only complaint might be that
it was too short!
Veronica is one predictable, legal secretary with a routine and a
longing for attention, especially from her boss, Mr. Lang. In walks
best friend Kayla with her new boy toy, Brant with a
proposition...Brant's going to make Mr. Lang jealous and teach Ronnie-
Rum how effective the power of seduction really is. And, in the
meantime, Brant is going to find those stolen earrings he's certain
she has. Because being a professional in the games of love isn't
Brant's full-time gig.
The writing, the word-play, the suspense, and the developing
relationship between Ronnie and Brant were all done so well, I found
myself sneaking away to read it. And now that it's finished, I can't
wait to see what Ms. Weaver comes up with next.
