Christen Mathews' life is finally where she wants it. She's
successful at work, has a beautiful home, and good friends. It only
gets better when she lands a huge account and receives a promotion.
Cautious around men, Christen is surprised to find herself attracted
to two very different men at the same time. One of them, Keono, is
trying to find a serial killer. When the killer strikes close to home
will Keono be able to figure out his identity and prevent him from
being Christen's last date?
Miss Henion weaves a tale full of suspense and intrigue. I enjoyed
the blossoming romance between Christen and Keono. I found the head
hopping a little excessive. I liked seeing inside the killer's mind,
and trying to find clues in the victims thoughts, but in some scenes
the author would write a paragraph from one point of view, switch to
another in the next paragraph, and then back again in the next. It
made it difficult to relate to any one character when I was listening
to everyone else's viewpoints. The suspense kept me reading more than
anything else, but I did enjoy the budding romance, and the way Keono
kept saving the day.
