Lindsay Willows is half vampire, half fay, and all heart. A funny, generous woman, Lindsay opens a community center and day care in a very troubled section of town. She uses her money and powers to keep
the kids off the streets and safe, yet she is hunted by all kinds of evil creatures because she is supposed to be the mate of the dark prince.
I loved this book. Okay, now I must warn you that there are some very hot, explicit love scenes...that rock. I immediately loved Lindsay for her spunky attitude and the way she helps others even if it hurts her.
Lindsay would rather die than let anyone else suffer, but she doesn't take any nonsense from anyone either. Xavs is a sweet lovable guy who I fell in love with from the start. Ms. Roth's characters are realistic, and believable, even the secondary characters. Werewolves, werepanthers, vampires, etc. You name it, she probably has one in the book. This story made me laugh and cry, and all at the same time. I hope that we can look forward to many more books from this author because I'm in desperate need of another great read!
