This is the time of the year when the leaves begin to fall, the
costumes are chosen for trick-or-treat and the veil between worlds is
as thin as a frosty breath. Using music to set your mood is a great
way to stay focused on a scene or a character. What is your villain up
to right now? Can you hear the sinister heartbeat of a drum or feel
the slick groove of a bass guitar accenting your scene? Here are a few
spooky selections to add to your funky collection.

Alice Cooper
The undeniable master of shocking showmanship, Alice Cooper is an
essential artist for any rock and roll collection. The song 'I'm
Eighteen' is a classic hit and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and
Museum has enshrined the anthem as one of the 50 most important songs
in the history of rock 'n' roll. Other famous hits include School's
Out, No More Mr. Nice Guy, The Black Widow with Vincent Price, Welcome
to My Nightmare and Hey Stoopid
"We were the group that drove a stake through the heart of the
love generation." - Alice Cooper

Rob Zombie
From his beginnings in White Zombie to the present, Zombie has
always managed to stay in the slippery groove of industrial metal, and
not only flow with the changes in the industry but present himself as
a leader of it.

Type O Negative
Fronted by the ungodly deep voice of Peter Steele (ex-Carnivore),
Type O Negative have evolved from an atmospheric punk band to a
melodic gothic metal outfit. The band's breakthrough CD Bloody Kisses
blends gothic keyboards, dense guitars, and mournful vocals. The
combination is compelling, and on "Christian Woman" and
"Black No. 1" (which features the chorus "Loving you
was like loving the dead"), Type O Negative's negativity shines
through in a way that makes depressed teenage girls dressed in black
swoon.

Ozzy
Ever since he left Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne has been a classic
metal legend, and the various choices he has made musically have
caused him to be loved and hated alike by many. The Prince of Darkness
has released several excellent heavy metal songs as a solo artist
including Bark at the Moon, Crazy Train, No More Tears and I Just Want
You.

Megadeth
One of the greatest of the "classic" heavy metal bands
was, by far, Megadeth. The group was formed by Dave Mustaine,
following his being exiled from Metallica. Angered at his previous
band mates, Mustaine put together a band he vowed to make heavier,
faster, and more aggressive than any other. And he succeeded. And
that's not all - In the nineties, he DID overtake his former band in
musical quality, and even began implementing elements of progressive
rock into his music.

Midnight Syndicate
For the past eight years, MIDNIGHT SYNDICATE has been creating
classic gothic/horror soundscapes for the imagination. Featuring their
unique blending of haunting orchestral music and carefully-crafted
sound effects, the band has become one of the premiere artists in
their field and one of the largest producers of Halloween music in the
world.
