Music that Inspires Us to Write.

Movies are a large part of our entertainment world. But where would Jaws have been without the heart stopping soundtrack, or Star Wars without the Imperial sound of the Republic heralding Darth Vader's entrance? Music makes the viewers feel the chills, the excitement, the pain of it's characters. So, why not bring that to your writing? Create a soundtrack by which you write your stories.

Does Hip Hop represent your Urban Character, trying to find his place in the world? What about the majestic sounds of nature to bring you to the forest of your imagination? This quarter we focus on our love of Jinn, and the legends surrounding them. Here are a few soundtracks to inspire your imagination.

The original television soundtrack from 2001 Sci-Fi release of Dune draws you into the depths of the desert with it's haunting melodies. Be swept away with Graeme Revell's powerful compositions and let your imagination soar.

If Dune's not to your taste, then how about the sweeping melodies of Bond, the quartet of femme fatales on stringed instruments. Their beauty is second to their love of music. Enjoy the sounds of a Gypsy Rhapsody or a stringed rendition of 007's theme. The albums Shine and Born are top favorites to this soundtrack-making writer.

The Staff here at Enchanted Ramblings was saddened to hear about the death of R/B's great, Luther Vandross. We will miss his wonderfully inspiring love songs. For loving ballads, and soul wrenching music, look to his Ultimate Collection, The Essential Album, and Your Secret Love. His music will continue to inspire for generations to come.

If you are a project jumper like me, nothing gets you in the mood to write a different WIP (work-in-progress) like a soundtrack shift.

Good luck in your endeavors.

Much love, Auren Faire
